Smile Makeover in Palm Beach

Smile Makeover in Palm Beach

Maybe you've started noticing your smile in photos and not loving what you see. A front tooth has a chip from years ago, a few teeth have darkened over time, and the gaps you once ignored now catch your eye every time you look in the mirror. For many of our patients in Palm Beach, these small concerns add up until they decide it's time for a thoughtful, coordinated plan. That plan is what we call a smile makeover, and it's one of the most personal kinds of care we provide at Family Dental Care.

A smile makeover isn't a single procedure. It's a customized combination of cosmetic and restorative treatments designed around your teeth, your gums, and your goals. One patient might need only whitening and a few composite veneers. Another might benefit from clear aligners, gum contouring, and porcelain veneers. We build each plan from the ground up rather than fitting you into a package.

Our office is in West Palm Beach, so Palm Beach residents can reach us easily for consultations, treatment visits, and follow-up care. Our team is led by Michael C. Westcott, DDS, and Sujay Trivedi, DMD, who both practice general and cosmetic dentistry. Because we offer a wide range of services under one roof, much of your makeover can be coordinated through a single, familiar team.

Your first visit is a conversation. We'll ask what you'd like to change, what you already like about your smile, and how you want to feel when you're finished. Then we'll complete a thorough dental exam, including cavity detection and an oral cancer screening, so we understand the health of your teeth and gums before discussing any cosmetic work.

From there, we offer cosmetic smile-design consultations, including Digital Smile Design, to help you visualize your options and talk through possible approaches. Good candidates include adults and teens ages eight and up who have healthy foundations or are willing to address concerns like decay or gum disease first. If you've lost teeth, have worn or damaged teeth, or feel self-conscious about color, shape, spacing, or gum appearance, a makeover may be a good fit. Patients with more complex needs may be candidates for full mouth rehabilitation instead, which we also provide.

Treatments That May Be Part of Your Plan

Once we agree on goals, we'll map out the treatments and the order that makes sense for you. Depending on your needs, your plan might draw from options like these:

  • Teeth whitening, in-office or take-home, to brighten stained or dull teeth
  • Porcelain or composite veneers to change the shape, size, or color of front teeth
  • Composite bonding and tooth recontouring for chips and uneven edges
  • Clear aligners, including Invisalign, to straighten teeth and close gaps
  • Gum contouring, gingivectomy, or crown lengthening to balance a gummy smile
  • Crowns, bridges, inlays, and onlays to restore damaged teeth
  • Dental implants, implant-supported bridges, or implant-supported dentures to replace missing teeth

Sequencing matters. For example, we often recommend whitening before placing veneers or crowns so new restorations can be matched to your brightened shade. If straightening is part of your plan, aligner treatment usually comes before cosmetic restorations. When implants are involved, bone grafting may be needed first.

If you feel anxious about dental visits, let us know. We offer oral sedation to help many patients feel more relaxed during treatment. We'll explain each step before we begin, so you always know what's happening and why.

Caring for Your New Smile

Protecting your investment starts with the basics: brushing, flossing, and keeping up with regular dental cleanings and exams. Our dental hygienist will help you maintain healthy gums around veneers, crowns, and implants. Patients with gum concerns may benefit from periodontal maintenance, and those with implants can receive ongoing implant maintenance with us.

If you clench or grind your teeth, we may recommend a custom night mouth guard to help protect your new restorations. And if something unexpected happens, such as a chipped veneer or a sudden toothache, we offer emergency dental appointments so Palm Beach patients can get help quickly.

Insurance and Payment Options

We accept all major PPO insurance plans, and we also welcome self-pay patients. Because a smile makeover often combines cosmetic and restorative treatments, coverage can vary from one part of your plan to another. Some restorative work may be eligible for benefits, while purely cosmetic services may not be.

Before treatment begins, we'll walk you through your plan, review costs, and answer your questions so there are no surprises. If you live in Palm Beach and have been thinking about changing your smile, we'd love to meet you, listen to your goals, and help you decide on the next step that feels right.
