Implant-Supported Bridges
Our fixed implant-supported bridges replace several missing teeth with a stable, natural-looking restoration anchored securely in place.

Why choose us
Benefits of Implant-Supported Bridges
Replaces Several Teeth
We anchor a fixed bridge to dental implants to fill a gap left by multiple missing teeth.
Fixed, Not Removable
Your bridge stays securely in place, so there is nothing to take out at night.
Spares Healthy Teeth
Because implants support the bridge, we don't need to reshape neighboring natural teeth to hold it.
Coordinated Care Here
From bone grafting to implant placement to the final bridge, our team can plan and provide each stage in one office.
Ongoing Implant Maintenance
We offer implant maintenance visits to help you care for your new bridge over time.
Missing several teeth in a row changes more than your smile. It can make biting into an apple feel risky, push you to chew on one side, and leave you hiding gaps in photos. Over time, the empty spaces can also let neighboring teeth drift. At Family Dental Care in West Palm Beach, we offer implant-supported bridges as a fixed way to replace several adjacent teeth. Instead of relying on your natural teeth for support, the bridge is anchored to dental implants.
An implant-supported bridge is a row of connected replacement teeth secured to dental implants placed in the jawbone. A traditional bridge depends on crowns cemented over healthy teeth on either side of a gap. This approach works differently. It uses implants as the anchors, so a few implants can support a span of several teeth without asking your natural teeth to carry the load. The bridge is fixed in place, so you don't take it out at night the way you would a removable partial denture.
Patients come to us for this treatment for many different reasons. Some have lost a series of back teeth to decay or gum disease and are struggling to chew comfortably. Others have worn a partial denture for years and are tired of clasps, adhesives, and movement while eating. Some have a failing traditional bridge and would rather not involve more natural teeth in the replacement. Others lost several front teeth in an accident and want something stable and natural-looking. Our team, led by Dr. Michael Westcott and Dr. Sujay Trivedi, looks at each of these situations individually.
A good candidate generally has enough healthy jawbone to hold implants and gums that are free of active disease. If bone has thinned after tooth loss, that doesn't automatically rule you out. We offer bone grafting to help rebuild areas that need more support before implants are placed. If gum disease is present, we can treat it first with care such as scaling and root planing, so your new teeth start on a healthy foundation.
Because we provide extractions, gum treatment, bone grafting, implant placement, and restorations, much of your care can be coordinated through one practice. We plan these steps together rather than sending you from office to office. If your mouth needs more extensive work, we can build the bridge into a broader plan. That might include crowns on remaining teeth or, when more teeth are missing, options like implant-supported dentures or full arch implants. For patients who feel anxious about dental visits, we also offer oral sedation to help you feel more relaxed during treatment.
Living With Your Bridge: Aftercare and Results
An implant-supported bridge is designed to feel secure when you eat and speak, and it is shaped and shaded to blend with your surrounding teeth. Many patients find it easier to adjust to than a removable appliance because there is nothing to put in or take out. Still, implants and the gums around them need consistent care to stay healthy.
Daily habits make a real difference. A few points we review with every patient:
- Brush twice a day, paying close attention to where the bridge meets the gums.
- Clean underneath the bridge daily with the tools our hygienist recommends, such as floss threaders or a water flosser.
- Keep up with regular exams and professional cleanings so we can check the implants and surrounding tissue.
- Let us know right away if you notice tenderness, bleeding, or a change in how your bite feels.
Our dental hygienist and doctors provide implant maintenance and periodontal maintenance to protect your investment over time. If you grind your teeth at night, we may suggest a custom night guard to help shield your bridge and natural teeth from excess pressure.
Insurance, Self-Pay, and Planning Your Investment
We accept all major PPO insurance plans, and our team can help you understand how your benefits may apply to implants, grafting, and the bridge itself. Coverage varies widely from plan to plan. We'll go over the details with you before treatment begins so you know what to expect.
We also welcome self-pay patients. Treatment is often completed in stages, from any preparatory care through implant healing and placement of the final bridge. We'll walk you through each phase and its associated costs during your consultation so you can plan with confidence.
